Style 6 was Gibson's highest numbered style and was available with either gold sparkle or checkered trim. Our tenor Style 6 would have cost its original $300 in 1931.
Next came the Bella Voce, with lyre and horn relief-carved onto the resonator. Our 6-string Bella Voce GB (guitar banjo) was priced at $400 when it was new in 1928.
The Florentine was fancier still, featuring a fingerboard of engraved and tinted pearloid. Our 1931 plectrum model was $450 new. (Only the All American at $550 topped these models in the Gibson line.)
